Of the other great makers, Hauser (I
and II) and Bouchet, I also respect for
their wonderful legacy and contribution
to the traditional values as laid down
by Torres in the 19th century. David
Rubio was I feel, very underrated both
as a maker and innovator who inspired
the great tradition of English
Luthiers. Jose Romanillos is another
magnificent luthier who works in the
UK, and his guitars, especially those
from the early '70's through to the mid
'80's, are amongst the most sought
after.
